ShowThem.ai Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and ShowThem.ai ("we", "us"). They cover the closed alpha of ShowThem.ai, the website at showthem.ai and anything we build on it. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who we are
ShowThem.ai is run by its founders from Israel. You can reach us at hello@showthem.ai.
2. What the service does
You give us a recording of your own EA SPORTS FC match. We watch it frame by frame and send you a written breakdown of what happened: the moments that decided the match, with timestamps you can jump to and check yourself.
You can give us a recording in three ways. You can upload a file you captured on your console. You can point us at your own Twitch channel or one of your own Twitch videos. You can send a YouTube link to a video you published. Section 6 has extra rules for the Twitch and YouTube routes.
3. This is an alpha
The service is in closed alpha. Entry is by invitation only and it is free. That means a few things you should know up front.
Things will break. Features will change, appear and disappear. We may reset or pause the service, and we may end the alpha at any time. We will try to give you notice by email when we can.
The analysis is automated and it will sometimes be wrong. We designed it to say "could not read this" rather than guess, but that does not make it perfect. Check anything important against the frame we point you to.
We will not charge you anything during the alpha. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will tell you first and you will have to agree to them separately. Nothing in these terms commits you to pay.
4. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use ShowThem.ai. By creating an account you confirm that you are. If we learn that someone under 16 has an account, we will close it and delete their data.
You can only have one account, and it is for you personally. Do not share your login.
5. Your account
You sign in with Google or with a link we email you. Keep access to that email account secure, because anyone who controls it can get into your ShowThem.ai account. Tell us at hello@showthem.ai straight away if you think someone else has got in.
6. Your recordings
You keep ownership of everything you give us. We do not claim any rights in your recordings, beyond what we need to run the service for you.
To run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, cut into frames, process and analyse your recordings, and to send extracted still frames to the model providers listed in our Privacy Policy. This permission is limited to producing your analysis, fixing our mistakes in it, and keeping your account working. It is not transferable, we cannot sell it, and we do not publish your recordings or reports anywhere. It ends when the data is deleted under our Privacy Policy.
You may only give us recordings of matches you played yourself. By giving us a recording you confirm that you captured it or published it, that you are allowed to share it with us, and that it does not contain anything unlawful.
Your recordings may show other players' gamertags or club names, and they may include your voice or other people's voices on party chat. Please mute party chat in captures you send us when you can. We use what appears in a recording only to analyse your match. We never try to identify, profile or contact your opponents.
Twitch and YouTube links. When you give us your Twitch channel, you confirm that it is your own channel, and you ask us to capture the public broadcast of that channel for the period you request so we can analyse your matches. When you give us a Twitch video or a YouTube link, you confirm that it is a video you published yourself. We only capture broadcasts and videos that you point us to. We do not capture other people's channels. Twitch and YouTube have their own terms, and those terms limit automated access to their services and downloading. You remain responsible for your own use of those platforms. If a platform objects to how we fetch your video, we will stop and ask you to upload the file instead.
7. What we do not do
ShowThem.ai is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Electronic Arts, Sony, Microsoft, Twitch or Google. EA SPORTS FC is a trademark of Electronic Arts Inc. We use the name only to describe what the service works with.
We only ever work with a video file after the fact. We do not install anything on your console or computer. We do not run alongside the game, read game memory, intercept network traffic, draw overlays on the game, or connect to EA's servers. Nothing we do changes, automates or assists your play while a match is running. The EA User Agreement bans third party programs that enable cheating, that bypass or modify the game, or that collect information "from or through the game". We have built the service so that it does none of those things. You are still responsible for following the EA User Agreement and your console platform's terms when you record and share your matches.
8. How you may use the service
Use the service only for analysing your own matches. Do not:
- upload recordings of matches someone else played, or content you have no right to share;
- try to break into, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
- use it to harass, identify or target other players;
- resell it, or give others access through your account;
- use it for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If the breach is minor we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
9. Our reports and our software
The reports we produce for you are yours to read, keep and share as you like. If you share one, do not present it as something it is not, and do not remove the timestamps that let others check it.
The service itself, including our software, design, name and the way reports are written, belongs to us. These terms do not give you any rights in it other than to use it as described here.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve ShowThem.ai without owing you anything. We will not name you publicly without asking.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@showthem.ai. When you do, we delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
We can end your access, or end the alpha for everyone. Unless you broke these terms seriously, we will give you at least 14 days' notice by email and a chance to download your reports first.
11. No promises about results
We provide the service "as is" during the alpha. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it will read every match, or that following its advice will win you games. Nothing here limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by contract.
12. Our liability
The service is free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost opportunities, lost rankings, lost in-game rewards or lost data, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to 50 euros.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them to, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you live in the EU or the UK, you keep the protections your local consumer law gives you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change matters, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the EU or the UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country.
If something goes wrong, please email hello@showthem.ai first. Most problems are faster to fix than to argue about.
15. General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to a company that takes over the service, and we will tell you if we do. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
